Barangay Salvacion

Barangay Salvacion is a small barangay in the municipality of Belison, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Salvacion had a population of 516. This made it the 11th largest of 11 barangays in Belison by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salvacion accounted for approximately 3.65% of the total population of Belison, which stood at 14,129 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 497 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 516 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Salvacion is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Belison is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Salvacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
