Barangay Guilingan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Guilingan is one of the administrative divisions of Benito Soliven in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Guilingan had a population of 549. This made it the 22nd largest of 29 barangays in Benito Soliven by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guilingan accounted for approximately 1.85% of the total population of Benito Soliven, which stood at 29,752 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 576 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 549 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Guilingan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Benito Soliven is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guilingan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Isabela, which contains 1,055 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Guilingan ranks 913th by 2020 population.
