Barangay Batingan

Classified as a very large barangay, Barangay Batingan is one of the administrative divisions of Binangonan in Rizal, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Batingan had a population of 16,280. This made it the 7th largest of 40 barangays in Binangonan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Batingan accounted for approximately 5.19% of the total population of Binangonan, which stood at 313,631 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 13,931 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 16,280 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +16.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Batingan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Binangonan is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Batingan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Rizal, which contains 189 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Batingan ranks 48th by 2020 population. Rizal is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
