Barangay Buhangin

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Buhangin is one of the administrative divisions of Binangonan in Rizal, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Buhangin had a population of 2,000. This made it the 27th largest of 40 barangays in Binangonan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buhangin accounted for approximately 0.64% of the total population of Binangonan, which stood at 313,631 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Buhangin changed from 1,871 to 2,000, a shift of +6.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Binangonan. Barangay Buhangin is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
