Barangay Buenlag

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Buenlag is one of the administrative divisions of Binmaley in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Buenlag had a population of 3,083. This made it the 10th largest of 33 barangays in Binmaley by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buenlag accounted for approximately 3.55% of the total population of Binmaley, which stood at 86,881 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Buenlag changed from 2,946 to 3,083, a shift of +4.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Binmaley. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Buenlag as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Binmaley is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Buenlag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Buenlag ranks 305th by 2020 population.
