Barangay Moraza

Situated in Botolan, Zambales, Barangay Moraza is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Moraza had a population of 453. This made it the 29th largest of 31 barangays in Botolan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Moraza accounted for approximately 0.68% of the total population of Botolan, which stood at 66,739 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Moraza changed from 501 to 453, a shift of -9.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Botolan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Moraza as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Botolan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Moraza, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Zambales, which contains 247 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Moraza ranks 224th by 2020 population.
