Barangay Taugtog

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Taugtog is one of the administrative divisions of Botolan in Zambales, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Taugtog had a population of 14,122. This made it the 1st largest of 31 barangays in Botolan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Taugtog accounted for approximately 21.16% of the total population of Botolan, which stood at 66,739 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Taugtog moving from 11,393 residents to 14,122 residents, an intercensal change of +24.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Taugtog is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Botolan is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Taugtog, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
