Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion is a large barangay in the municipality of Bugallon, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 11,015. This made it the 1st largest of 24 barangays in Bugallon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 14.69% of the total population of Bugallon, which stood at 74,962 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 9,999 residents to 11,015 residents, an intercensal change of +10.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bugallon is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
