Barangay Salasa

Situated in Bugallon, Pangasinan, Barangay Salasa is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Salasa had a population of 3,082. This made it the 9th largest of 24 barangays in Bugallon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salasa accounted for approximately 4.11% of the total population of Bugallon, which stood at 74,962 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Salasa changed from 2,927 to 3,082, a shift of +5.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bugallon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Salasa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
