Barangay Umanday

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Umanday is one of the administrative divisions of Bugallon in Pangasinan, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Umanday had a population of 5,623. This made it the 3rd largest of 24 barangays in Bugallon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Umanday accounted for approximately 7.50% of the total population of Bugallon, which stood at 74,962 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Umanday changed from 5,313 to 5,623, a shift of +5.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bugallon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Umanday as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Bugallon is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Umanday, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pangasinan, which contains 1,364 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Umanday ranks 58th by 2020 population.
