Barangay Anilawan

Situated in Bugasong, Antique, Barangay Anilawan is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Anilawan had a population of 288. This made it the 27th largest of 27 barangays in Bugasong by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anilawan accounted for approximately 0.83% of the total population of Bugasong, which stood at 34,676 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 223 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 288 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +29.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Anilawan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
