Situated in Bugasong, Antique, Barangay Ilaures is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ilaures had a population of 1,513. This made it the 10th largest of 27 barangays in Bugasong by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ilaures accounted for approximately 4.36% of the total population of Bugasong, which stood at 34,676 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ilaures changed from 1,391 to 1,513, a shift of +8.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Bugasong. Barangay Ilaures is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
