Barangay Santa Elena (Pob.)

Barangay Santa Elena (Pob.) is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Buhi, located in the province of Camarines Sur, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Elena (Pob.) had a population of 3,819. This made it the 5th largest of 38 barangays in Buhi by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Elena (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.70% of the total population of Buhi, which stood at 81,306 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,817 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,819 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.1%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Elena (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Buhi is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Elena (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
