Barangay San Francisco

Situated in Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro, Barangay San Francisco is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Francisco had a population of 887. This made it the 14th largest of 15 barangays in Bulalacao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Francisco accounted for approximately 2.00% of the total population of Bulalacao, which stood at 44,366 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 778 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 887 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Francisco is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Bulalacao is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Francisco, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Oriental Mindoro, which contains 426 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Francisco ranks 368th by 2020 population.
