Barangay San Miguel

Barangay San Miguel is a small barangay in the municipality of Burgos, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Miguel had a population of 1,602. This made it the 5th largest of 14 barangays in Burgos by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 6.15% of the total population of Burgos, which stood at 26,040 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Miguel moving from 1,395 residents to 1,602 residents, an intercensal change of +14.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Miguel as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
