Barangay Balusbos

Barangay Balusbos is a small barangay in the municipality of Buruanga, located in the province of Aklan, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balusbos had a population of 1,161. This made it the 9th largest of 15 barangays in Buruanga by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balusbos accounted for approximately 6.00% of the total population of Buruanga, which stood at 19,357 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balusbos moving from 1,085 residents to 1,161 residents, an intercensal change of +7.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Balusbos is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
