Barangay Ngarag

Barangay Ngarag forms part of Cabagan, a municipality in Isabela, and is classified as a small barangay.

This made it the 20th largest of 26 barangays in Cabagan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ngarag accounted for approximately 2.29% of the total population of Cabagan, which stood at 53,897 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ngarag changed from 1,162 to 1,233, a shift of +6.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Cabagan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Ngarag as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cabagan is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ngarag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
