Barangay Ito Sur

Barangay Ito Sur is a small barangay in the municipality of Cabatuan, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ito Sur had a population of 770. This made it the 32nd largest of 68 barangays in Cabatuan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ito Sur accounted for approximately 1.26% of the total population of Cabatuan, which stood at 61,110 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Ito Sur moving from 753 residents to 770 residents, an intercensal change of +2.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Ito Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
