Barangay San Andres

Situated in Cabatuan, Isabela, Barangay San Andres is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Andres had a population of 1,703. This made it the 13th largest of 22 barangays in Cabatuan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Andres accounted for approximately 4.26% of the total population of Cabatuan, which stood at 39,990 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,018 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,703 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -15.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay San Andres is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cabatuan is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Andres, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Isabela, which contains 1,055 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Andres ranks 353rd by 2020 population.
