Barangay Baclig (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Baclig (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Cabugao in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Baclig (Pob.) had a population of 2,446. This made it the 1st largest of 33 barangays in Cabugao by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Baclig (Pob.) accounted for approximately 6.29% of the total population of Cabugao, which stood at 38,884 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,366 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,446 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Baclig (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Cabugao is a municipality comprising 33 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Baclig (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
