Barangay Talaga

Barangay Talaga is a small barangay in the municipality of Cagayancillo, located in the province of Palawan, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Talaga had a population of 1,164. This made it the 3rd largest of 12 barangays in Cagayancillo by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talaga accounted for approximately 16.91% of the total population of Cagayancillo, which stood at 6,884 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Talaga moving from 1,111 residents to 1,164 residents, an intercensal change of +4.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Talaga as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
