Barangay Marigondon

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Marigondon is one of the administrative divisions of Cajidiocan in Romblon, MIMAROPA Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Marigondon had a population of 1,801. This made it the 6th largest of 14 barangays in Cajidiocan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Marigondon accounted for approximately 7.74% of the total population of Cajidiocan, which stood at 23,259 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,635 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,801 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Marigondon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cajidiocan is a municipality comprising 14 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Marigondon, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Romblon, which contains 219 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Marigondon ranks 64th by 2020 population. Romblon is classified as a 3rd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
