Barangay Ipil

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Ipil is one of the administrative divisions of Calauag in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ipil had a population of 543. This made it the 48th largest of 81 barangays in Calauag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ipil accounted for approximately 0.76% of the total population of Calauag, which stood at 71,809 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Ipil changed from 618 to 543, a shift of -12.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Calauag. Barangay Ipil is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Calauag is a municipality comprising 81 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ipil, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
