Barangay Lungib

Barangay Lungib is a very small barangay in the municipality of Calauag, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lungib had a population of 438. This made it the 61st largest of 81 barangays in Calauag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lungib accounted for approximately 0.61% of the total population of Calauag, which stood at 71,809 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lungib moving from 460 residents to 438 residents, an intercensal change of -4.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Lungib is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
