Barangay Pinagbayanan

Barangay Pinagbayanan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Calauag, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pinagbayanan had a population of 2,079. This made it the 4th largest of 81 barangays in Calauag by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pinagbayanan accounted for approximately 2.90% of the total population of Calauag, which stood at 71,809 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pinagbayanan changed from 1,816 to 2,079, a shift of +14.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Calauag. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pinagbayanan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Calauag is a municipality comprising 81 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pinagbayanan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pinagbayanan ranks 280th by 2020 population.
