Barangay Santo Domingo

Barangay Santo Domingo is a small barangay in the municipality of Calauag, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santo Domingo had a population of 897. This made it the 25th largest of 81 barangays in Calauag by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Domingo accounted for approximately 1.25% of the total population of Calauag, which stood at 71,809 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santo Domingo moving from 1,074 residents to 897 residents, an intercensal change of -16.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Santo Domingo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
