Barangay Tikiwan

Situated in Calauag, Quezon, Barangay Tikiwan is one of 81 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tikiwan had a population of 90. This made it the 81st largest of 81 barangays in Calauag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tikiwan accounted for approximately 0.13% of the total population of Calauag, which stood at 71,809 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 92 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 90 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tikiwan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Calauag is a municipality comprising 81 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tikiwan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tikiwan ranks 1207th by 2020 population.
