Barangay Gama Grande

Barangay Gama Grande is a small barangay in the municipality of Calinog, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Gama Grande had a population of 931. This made it the 29th largest of 59 barangays in Calinog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gama Grande accounted for approximately 1.48% of the total population of Calinog, which stood at 62,853 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Gama Grande changed from 913 to 931, a shift of +2.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Calinog. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Gama Grande as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
