Barangay Marawi

Barangay Marawi is a small barangay in the municipality of Camiling, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Marawi had a population of 1,898. This made it the 11th largest of 61 barangays in Camiling by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Marawi accounted for approximately 2.17% of the total population of Camiling, which stood at 87,319 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Marawi moving from 1,725 residents to 1,898 residents, an intercensal change of +10.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Marawi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Camiling is a municipality comprising 61 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Marawi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
