Barangay Pindangan 1st

Barangay Pindangan 1st is a small barangay in the municipality of Camiling, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pindangan 1st had a population of 940. This made it the 48th largest of 61 barangays in Camiling by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pindangan 1st accounted for approximately 1.08% of the total population of Camiling, which stood at 87,319 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 966 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 940 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.7%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pindangan 1st as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Camiling is a municipality comprising 61 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pindangan 1st, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
