Barangay San Francisco

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay San Francisco is one of the administrative divisions of Canaman in Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Francisco had a population of 1,208. This made it the 14th largest of 24 barangays in Canaman by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Francisco accounted for approximately 3.34% of the total population of Canaman, which stood at 36,205 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,054 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,208 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Francisco as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Canaman is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Francisco, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Francisco ranks 635th by 2020 population.
