Barangay San Roque

Barangay San Roque forms part of Canaman, a municipality in Camarines Sur, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Roque had a population of 1,220. This made it the 13th largest of 24 barangays in Canaman by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Roque accounted for approximately 3.37% of the total population of Canaman, which stood at 36,205 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,117 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,220 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Roque is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Canaman is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Roque, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
