Barangay O'Donnell

Barangay O'Donnell is a very large barangay in the municipality of Capas, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay O'Donnell had a population of 15,973. This made it the 2nd largest of 20 barangays in Capas by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay O'Donnell accounted for approximately 10.24% of the total population of Capas, which stood at 156,056 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay O'Donnell moving from 14,542 residents to 15,973 residents, an intercensal change of +9.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay O'Donnell as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Capas is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay O'Donnell, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay O'Donnell ranks 9th by 2020 population. Tarlac is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
