Barangay Santa Rita

Barangay Santa Rita is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Capas, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santa Rita had a population of 2,325. This made it the 18th largest of 20 barangays in Capas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Rita accounted for approximately 1.49% of the total population of Capas, which stood at 156,056 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santa Rita moving from 1,819 residents to 2,325 residents, an intercensal change of +27.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santa Rita as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Capas is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santa Rita, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
