Barangay Talaga

Barangay Talaga forms part of Capas, a municipality in Tarlac, and is classified as a large barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Talaga had a population of 6,757. This made it the 12th largest of 20 barangays in Capas by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talaga accounted for approximately 4.33% of the total population of Capas, which stood at 156,056 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Talaga moving from 5,584 residents to 6,757 residents, an intercensal change of +21.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Talaga as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Capas is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Talaga, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Talaga ranks 37th by 2020 population.
