Barangay Dawis Norte

Barangay Dawis Norte is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Carmen, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dawis Norte had a population of 4,701. This made it the 4th largest of 21 barangays in Carmen by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dawis Norte accounted for approximately 8.12% of the total population of Carmen, which stood at 57,897 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dawis Norte changed from 4,155 to 4,701, a shift of +13.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Carmen. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dawis Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Carmen is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dawis Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
