Barangay Ising (Pob.)

Situated in Carmen, Davao Del Norte, Barangay Ising (Pob.) is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ising (Pob.) had a population of 14,204. This made it the 1st largest of 20 barangays in Carmen by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ising (Pob.) accounted for approximately 17.32% of the total population of Carmen, which stood at 82,018 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 12,426 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 14,204 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Ising (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Carmen is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ising (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
