Barangay Poblacion

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Poblacion is one of the administrative divisions of Carmen in Cotabato, SOCCSKSARGEN, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 12,957. This made it the 1st largest of 28 barangays in Carmen by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 12.04% of the total population of Carmen, which stood at 107,603 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 12,835 residents to 12,957 residents, an intercensal change of +1.0%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Poblacion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
