Barangay Tacupan

Barangay Tacupan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Carmen, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tacupan had a population of 3,066. This made it the 11th largest of 28 barangays in Carmen by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tacupan accounted for approximately 2.85% of the total population of Carmen, which stood at 107,603 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tacupan moving from 2,448 residents to 3,066 residents, an intercensal change of +25.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tacupan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
