Barangay Rojales

Barangay Rojales is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Carmen, located in the province of Agusan Del Norte, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Rojales had a population of 3,022. This made it the 3rd largest of 8 barangays in Carmen by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rojales accounted for approximately 13.04% of the total population of Carmen, which stood at 23,172 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,542 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,022 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +18.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Rojales is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Carmen is a municipality comprising 8 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Rojales, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
