Barangay San Isidro

Barangay San Isidro is a small barangay in the municipality of Cataingan, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Isidro had a population of 527. This made it the 35th largest of 36 barangays in Cataingan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Isidro accounted for approximately 1.04% of the total population of Cataingan, which stood at 50,623 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Isidro moving from 616 residents to 527 residents, an intercensal change of -14.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay San Isidro is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cataingan is a municipality comprising 36 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Isidro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
