Barangay Doongan Ibaba

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Doongan Ibaba is one of the administrative divisions of Catanauan in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Doongan Ibaba had a population of 750. This made it the 38th largest of 46 barangays in Catanauan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Doongan Ibaba accounted for approximately 1.03% of the total population of Catanauan, which stood at 72,752 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 826 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 750 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -9.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Doongan Ibaba as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Catanauan is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Doongan Ibaba, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
