Barangay San Roque

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay San Roque is one of the administrative divisions of Catanauan in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Roque had a population of 2,644. This made it the 5th largest of 46 barangays in Catanauan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Roque accounted for approximately 3.63% of the total population of Catanauan, which stood at 72,752 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Roque changed from 3,057 to 2,644, a shift of -13.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Catanauan. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Roque as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Catanauan is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Roque, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
