Barangay Dalakit (Pob.)

Situated in Catarman, Northern Samar, Barangay Dalakit (Pob.) is one of 55 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dalakit (Pob.) had a population of 12,075. This made it the 1st largest of 55 barangays in Catarman by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dalakit (Pob.) accounted for approximately 12.34% of the total population of Catarman, which stood at 97,879 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 11,962 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 12,075 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.9%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Dalakit (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
