Barangay Mabolo (Pob.)

Barangay Mabolo (Pob.) is a very small barangay in the municipality of Catarman, located in the province of Northern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mabolo (Pob.) had a population of 483. This made it the 45th largest of 55 barangays in Catarman by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabolo (Pob.) accounted for approximately 0.49% of the total population of Catarman, which stood at 97,879 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 381 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 483 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +26.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Mabolo (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Catarman is a municipality comprising 55 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabolo (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
