Barangay Macagtas

Situated in Catarman, Northern Samar, Barangay Macagtas is one of 55 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Macagtas changed from 3,087 to 4,269, a shift of +38.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Catarman. Barangay Macagtas is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Catarman is a municipality comprising 55 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Macagtas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
