Barangay San Julian

Barangay San Julian is a very small barangay in the municipality of Catarman, located in the province of Northern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Julian had a population of 396. This made it the 50th largest of 55 barangays in Catarman by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Julian accounted for approximately 0.40% of the total population of Catarman, which stood at 97,879 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Julian moving from 313 residents to 396 residents, an intercensal change of +26.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Julian as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
