Barangay Poblacion

Situated in City of Alaminos, Pangasinan, Barangay Poblacion is one of 39 barangays that make up the city within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 10,874. This made it the 1st largest of 39 barangays in City of Alaminos by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 10.94% of the total population of City of Alaminos, which stood at 99,397 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 10,302 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 10,874 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Alaminos is a city comprising 39 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
