Barangay San Luis

Barangay San Luis is a mega-barangay in the City of Antipolo, located in the province of Rizal, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Luis had a population of 66,351. This made it the 5th largest of 16 barangays in City of Antipolo by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay San Luis accounted for approximately 7.48% of the total population of City of Antipolo, which stood at 887,399 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 53,230 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 66,351 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +24.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay San Luis is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Antipolo is a city comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Luis, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Rizal, which contains 189 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Luis ranks 13th by 2020 population. Rizal is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.

The barangay's legislative and executive affairs are handled by a Punong Barangay and the Sangguniang Barangay, elected nationwide during the Barangay and SK Elections. The next BSKE is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, following the synchronized election schedule set by COMELEC Resolution No. 11191.
