Barangay Mabaleng

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Mabaleng is one of the administrative divisions of City of Batac in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mabaleng had a population of 1,162. This made it the 20th largest of 43 barangays in City of Batac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Mabaleng accounted for approximately 2.09% of the total population of City of Batac, which stood at 55,484 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mabaleng changed from 1,158 to 1,162, a shift of +0.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in City of Batac. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mabaleng as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Batac is a city comprising 43 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabaleng, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ilocos Norte, which contains 559 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mabaleng ranks 192nd by 2020 population.
